I slipped on some ice in the parking lot at my job in Albany back in February and broke my ankle pretty good. The company hasn't fought me on it yet and they're paying for my physical therapy, so part of me thinks I don't need to get anyone involved. But then I read stories about people who thought everything was fine until the insurance suddenly cut them off or tried to say the injury wasn't as bad as reported. I've been going back and forth for weeks now trying to decide if I should just ride it out or look for a New York workers compensation lawyer to at least review my file. A guy at my church said lawyers take a cut but sometimes get you more in the long run, especially if there's any permanent damage. What would you do in my shoes wait and see, or call someone now before something goes wrong?
