Used to work with amped guys as a prosthetic limb fitter, always wondered what it mus be like to be an amputee.  Guys do not use your mobile while cross the road, I woke up in hospital as a LAK (Mid thigh) and left hand amp, immediately above the wrist.   Know first hand what amputees go through. M left knee was competely mashed, so surgeon was able to  make a superb thigh stump, very neatly rounded and my socket is an amazing fit. I use a hook on my left handso no problems there,  just awkward learning to open and close it by moving my shoulderm also have an myo electric hand, couresy insurance.

I sometimes wear a very simple steel pylon, looks odd when I wear trousers to see a peg leg with a rubber bung on the end, easy to wear and walk on. also have an Full electrinic leg, walk woth hardly a limp.  Was not easy at the first though, I was amped in January 2019 and was walking fully by May..
