When I planted my mulberry tree, I chose a sunny location with well-draining, fertile soil. Before planting, I mixed compost into the soil to improve nutrients and drainage. During the first growing season, I watered the tree regularly to encourage strong root development. Once established, the tree became much more drought-tolerant and required less frequent watering. Providing six to eight hours of direct sunlight each day and avoiding waterlogged soil made a significant difference in its healthy growth and fruit production.
